Out of the nearly 200 submissions in this year's Poster Contest, 40 finalists were on display in the Exhibit Hall of the California Lounge at the Century Plaza Hotel. Registrants were asked to vote once for their favorite poster based on design and overall effectiveness. First place - and a full-page, four-color advertisment in Pollstar magazine - was awarded to Nederlander of California for their submission of The Pixies at the Santa Barbara Bowl. Capital Sports & Entertainment will be awarded a full-page, black-and-white advertisment for its second place poster, Austin City Limits Music Fest. - Zilker Park. Third place winner, ALLTEL Arena will be awarded a half-page, black-and-white advertisment for it's Eric Clapton poster submission.
